Each player MUST be registered by their parent/guardian, a team coach or manager cannot share their account or register players.

Head coaches must be at least 18 years old.
EVERY coach head or assistant must complete AAU requirements.
A Link to concussion information for coaches and parents is included for review, the form will be required to complete with your registration.

WIAA is currently working with the University of Washington to develop online coaches training for sudden cardiac arrest. That course is not yet finished. Until we get it done, below is a link to a free Sudden Cardiac Awareness online course through the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS). Coaches that complete this course can print a certificate as proof of meeting the coaches training requirement. To complete the course you must register by clicking the “REGISTER” link in the TOP RIGHT corner of the “NFHS Learning site“. It’s FREE!

Concussion protocol.

Head coaches, assistant coaches and players need to have an approved AAU membership BEFORE any practices. This process can take anywhere from 1 to 10 business days to complete. This membership must be approved before conducting any practices or coach games.

Team Registration steps for the HEAD COACH:

Complete above requirements
Determine players on your team
No more than 3 coaches are allowed for each team
Check on school/band/other sport conflicts. We will consider one "bye" request per team if requested at the time of registration.
Decide on a team name, if this is not a unique name within the division, Tri-County Basketball League will adjust the name to make it unique.

Steps for Coaches to Register:

Step 1: Go to the Registration listing module or the Volunteer listing module and select the Program/Division you would like to be a coach for. Click “Register Now” (you can also click “Register Now” when you are signed into your account).

Step 2: Create a new account if you have never logged in or log in with existing credentials.

Step 3: Enter your information and continue

Step 4: Select “I am a team coach or other team personnel” from the “Which Best Describes You” pop-up.

Step 5: Confirm the correct Program is selected for which you want to register as a coach for.

Step 6: Confirm the correct Division is selected for which you want to register as a coach for.

Step 7: Select yourself to be the Head Coach

Step 8: Enter your remaining information. This is where you will enter your Team Name (subject to Tri-County Basketball League approval).

Step 9: Your team page is created! From here you then can invite players to your team by entering their email address. You can also send payment reminders and pay open invoices for players. This page also tells you how many players have joined your team and what the minimum and maximum players per team are. PLUS, the team code is on this page too. You can pass this code out to anyone who you would like to join your team. When you enter emails on this page, each email will already include the team code.

Can I invite additional coaches/team personnel to my team?

Yes, this feature became available this Fall.
